Edward Walker
Edward works with individuals and organisations that want to change. For almost a decade he has worked as an independent consultant and executive coach to professional service firms, with an emphasis on law firms. As an organisational psychologist, Edward’s work is focused on helping professionals at all stages of their career achieve sustainable, high-performance, in a way that is meaningful to them. As a coach this typically involves helping professionals establish new patterns of behaviour and abandon old habits, which are no longer helpful to them. As a consultant, he works closely with management teams to enhance their internal processes and foster new ways of working that drive performance, while also protecting employee well-being.
Significant projects include facilitating cultural change between law firms and clients; designing and delivering learning interventions for both professionals and their clients; and providing careers transition coaching to professionals at different stages of their career (including Partner-level).
In addition to his consulting experience, Edward is an active researcher of professional service firms. His research has featured in a variety of business publications and he also enjoys presenting at conferences. His research interests include legal leadership, technology in professional service firms, and workplace adversity, resilience and well-being. Edward has also recently completed doctoral research, which focused on the use artificial intelligence by legal professionals.
